Ghostbusters II Retro Review

Justin here. Ghostbusters II is a worthy follow up to the classic 1984 movie. It contains a lot more comedy than the first one, the characters are still intact with the first one, and it's one of those sequels that ups the game with the stakes higher. Everyone including Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis, Sigourney Weaver, and even other ones like Peter MacNicol really shine in this one. I especially love the villain Vigor how even though he's in a painting, he still manages to be the head huncho of taking over New York and brainwashing people ike Peter MacNicol. He was creepy when I grew up watching the movie. The movie does have some flaws though. While still being funny, some of the jokes fall flat and I felt like they did kind of rehash the same stuff from the first one, but it still had it's charm. Plus, it was also cool seeing how they had this pink slime going through the tunnels that reminded me of the Blob. Overall, I like Ghostbusters II, it's still fun, it contains a lot of unique ghosts, hilarious humor, the cast is always great, but still kind of like the first one. I give this one an 8/10. Comment below on your thoughts of it and I'll see you on my next review.
