The Fundamentals of Caring Review

I'm reviewing a new Netflix movie called The Fundamentals of Caring, starring Paul Rudd, Craig Roberts and Selena Gomez. Rudd stars as Ben, a caretaker who gets a job taking care of a disabled teenager named Trevor who at first doesn't like Ben because of his own issues going on as a father and dealing with a lot of depression problems. Ben decides to bond with Trevor by going on a road trip to do all the things that Trevor had always wanted to do in his life since he's never been able to go anywhere and they end up picking up hitchhikers and shenanigans happen along the way along with drama happening. I really loved this movie. It was very funny at times, it had a lot of heart and drama with the way the story played out and the performances were all very great, especially Rudd and Roberts. The movie speaks to a lot of fathers out there and it kind of reminds me of Role Models where Rudd also played a guy who has to take care of someone and this one you can definitely see the chemistry between both of them together and it's very genuine. I also loved how throughout most of it, you pick up more details about Rudd's life and what motivated him to become a caretaker. I really recommend this film and I'm going to give it an 8.75/10.
