The Accountant (Eddie's Review)

Eddie here. Tonight I'm reviewing The Accountant, directed by Gavin O'Connor, starring Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons and Jon Bernthal. The Accountant is a 2016 drama/action film about Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck), a math genius with a highly form of Autism who works as a free lance accountant for some of the world's most dangerous criminal organizations. When the Treasury Department Crime Division starts to close in on him, Christian takes a job working as an accountant clerk for a robotics company where he's hired to find millions of dollars that has gone missing. As he gets closer to the accomplice behind the stolen money, bodies start to pile up high. I really enjoyed this film a lot. Great performances from all the cast members, especially Ben Affleck, a very well written story that kept me invested till the end and the cinematography was beautiful as it reminded me of another great film in 2014 starring Ben Affleck known as Gone Girl. I did have some cons with the film. I wish they would have elaborated more on J.K. Simmons' character. Also J.K. Simmons' partner was absolutely pointless in the film. Other than that, I do highly recommend this and I'm going to give The Accountant an 8.5/10.
