The Magnificent Seven (Eddie's Review)

Eddie here again. Tonight I'm reviewing The Magnificent Seven, directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Shooter, and The Equalizer), starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, Peter Sarsgaard, Matt Bomer and Cam Gigandet. The Magnificent Seven is a western/action remake from the original classic film with the same title that came out in 1960, which I haven't seen yet. This film takes us to the town of Rose Creek that's under a deadly control by an industrialist, money hungry killer known as Bartholomew Bogue. When a local citizen of Rose Creek decides to take matters in her own hands by hiring seven gun slinging, outlaw bounty hunters with special abilities to help save her town before Bogue's brutal run ends up destroying everything. They must prepare the town for a violent showdown that they know is heading their way. I enjoyed the hell out this film. The cast was phenomenal and the chemistry between one another was outstanding. I really enjoyed Chris Pratt, Vincent D' Onofrio, Ethan Hawke and his Asian partner the most with their comic relief. It flows through the film with perfection. The cinematography was absolutely beautiful capturing the whole western atmosphere. I was a little bit disappointed when the two big villains died a bit easy but this film is such a blast that you really don't notice it. I guess I can say it's a minor nitpick. I wish we could have seen more of Peter Sarsgaard as the killer to get the feeling on how brutal he really can be. Definitely going to be in my Top 10 list and I highly recommend it. I'm going to give The Magnificent Seven a 9/10. Also check out Justin's review of the film on YouTube at your convenience: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMtdt7Cshrk
