Doctor Strange (Eddie's Review)

Eddie here. Tonight I'm reviewing one of the 2016 Marvel Universe films, Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen. After a tragic accident leaves a neurosurgeon his career in shambles, Doctor Stephen Strange goes out looking for a treatment to help him heal only to be later trained to fight evil that threatens their existence. I really enjoyed this film a lot. I really enjoyed the performances from all the cast members. I'm a big fan of Benedict Cumberbatch and I think he was the perfect choice to play Doctor Strange. I thought the comedy flowed well with the film and that's very important since Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy are going to be working together in the future, so that should be very interesting to see later on down the road in the Marvel Universe. I also liked Mads Mikkelsen as the villain in this film. He's a Danish actor that played in Rouge One: A Star Wars Story, Casino Royale, and the Hannibal TV series. The visual effects were probably one of the best things about this film and the story keeps you invested till the end. My only con I had was I felt that the final battle with the villain was a bit quick and anti climatic but it still worked for what the film gave us. I'm really excited to see what they're gonna do with adding Doctor Strange to the future Marvel Universe films. Anyways, I recommend it and I'm going to give Doctor Strange an 8.5/10.
