A Bad Mom's Christmas - Written Movie Review

Tonight I'm reviewing the 2017 comedy, A Bad Mom's Christmas, directed by Jon Lucas, Scott Moore, and stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christine Baranski, Susan Sarandon, and Peter Gallagher. The sequel to the 2016 comedy Bad Moms, the three moms are back at it again only this time, they are hosting their own mothers when they decide to come visit for the holidays. As expected, this is another terrible comedy film to add to the worst list. I did a written review on 2016's Bad Moms, so I'm not going to go into any details, but that film was absolutely terrible and it made my 2016 Worst list. Check out my written review of the first movie at your convenience: https://www.filmphreeks.com/single-post/2016/11/24/Bad-Moms-Review. Where do I begin with this painfully unfunny crap? Starting with my pros, Susan Sarandon was probably the only one that had lines that made me chuckle a bit, but even she got old after a while. The Christmas themes are there, so that was good. Yep, that's all I liked about this crap fest. I wasn't expecting it to be good but I figured it would at least beat the first one, which was absolutely terrible. They managed to make it even worse. This film is filled with your typical crude humor such as fart, wieners, and nut sack jokes that made me want to pull my hair out. Half of the film is them rinse-and-repeating a joke about shaved vaginas. I counted over ten times where they ran a joke longer than 2 to 5 minutes, which had me almost turn the movie off. The main cast are unlikable just like the first movie. They keep doing the slow-mo scenes where they do a bunch of unrealistic stuff that would get them arrested and they kept humping Santa in that same scene as if that was supposed to be funny. Like your typical cheap comedy, the film manages to look very Hollywoodish and what I mean by Hollywoodish is that you have many parts were people walk into the scene as it was obvious that they came around the corner from off the set. They constantly have subplots that they focus on that disappear and become pointless. The entire plot line has been done a thousand times. I could go on and on but It's not worth the pain in my thumbs to type out. I wish these type of comedies would die off already. Sure I don't have to watch them and I didn't pay to see this film, it's just that this is a typical comedy that the average moviegoer enjoys and it will more than likely never go away. I'm going to give A Bad Mom's Christmas a 2/10. What were your thoughts on this movie? Leave me a comment below and I'll see you on my next review. P.S. What was the point in having Peter Gallagher in the entire movie if you're not gonna let him speak ?
